With everyone out on the roads it is no surprise that majority of car accidents across the country generally occur on holiday weekends. In order to stay safe this New Years Eve it is best to celebrate with friends in the safety of ones home. Here are some ideas for fun ways to ring in the New Year with your friends at home!

Themed Party: Invite your friends over for a New Years Eve themed party. Throw a masquerade ball where you and your friends can dress in a festive mask or a casino night where everyone can engage in games like black jack and poker and play for tickets to enter in a raffle at the end. Be sure to also have classic party necessities such as snacks, decorations, and music.

Everyone is then responsible for purchasing a gift for the person whose name they picked. Then set a night to all get together to exchange gifts and have your secret Santa revealed!

This sudden halt to your daily busy schedule can however leave you and your family searching for some fun activities to do together. Volunteer: Spend time together as a family by helping out others in need. Volunteering will create a family project that will keep you busy for several days. This is also a great family activity because it does not cost anything. You can choose to volunteer at a soup kitchen, adopt a family in need, collect canned goods to donate to a food bank, or any other volunteer opportunities that will make the whole family feel good and appreciative for what they have.
