Like many kids I enjoyed playing with my friends or swimming in the pool, but inevitably there would be a moment where I approached my father with an "I'm bored!" expecting him to share with me a fun activity or idea to waste a few hours. Nine out of ten times, my father would tell me "Go sit outside outside and watch the rocks grow." Since anything is more fun than watching rocks grow, I often found myself picking up a book or searching for my sister to keep me company.
This Saturday, September 17th the Grossmont Unified High School District is hosting iParent, a college and career fair for parents. The informational event includes eduational speakers, breakout sessions, and a resource fair with over 50 participants.
